Ensuring good governance

Good corporate governance indicates that independent non-executive directors should be ‘professionals of recognised prestige who meet the conditions that ensure their impartiality and objectivity of judgement’. In other words, they should not be bound by economic or personal interests within the company and should be able to provide an impartial and objective opinion on the highest governing body.

In boards of directors, especially in family-owned companies, they contribute a differential value in the good direction of the company. The appropriate choice of independent directors has become strategic for the good governance of companies, and their presence is increasingly necessary to increase their competitiveness and good governance.

Our approach in the search for independent non-executive directors includes factors such as their diversity of knowledge and experience, their strategic vision, their reputation in an area or sector, their independence, their network of strategic contacts, their honesty and values, etc.
